Permanent Competition: How it works

Welcome to Aeternovae's Infinity Nikki Styling Competition, Permanent Competition edition!

What's the Permanent Competition?

It is a different take on the styling contests Aeternovae offers.
Instead of a weekly contest, with a theme that changes everytime, the Permanent Competitions are, as their name suggests, permanently available.
Submissions, voting and rankings are always open and visible.

The Permanent Competitions rounds are not based on a theme, but on an item: the challenge is to make an outfit that includes the one required item for every round.
You may make multiple outfits and enter all of them! There is no limit to the amount of submissions you can make.
However, the basic submission rules still apply: your entry needs to be a wardrobe screenshot of your outfit, and obviously, your outfit needs to include the required item.
Entries that are not wardrobe screenshots, and outfits that do not include the required item, will be disqualified.

What counts as a "wardrobe screenshot"?
For example:

The wardrobe itself; the dye workshop; the ability outfit setup are all "wardrobe environments" and fine to submit.

A picture taken outside of the wardrobe is not allowed, and you will be disqualified!

The picture above is not from a wardrobe environment, and will be disqualified if submitted.

The voting system for Permanent Competitions is the same as in the normal competition.
You will be presented with two random entries, simply click on the one you prefer between the two, and your vote is cast!
Unlike the normal competition, however, there is no limit to how many votes you can cast in a day, so feel free to vote your heart out!
Do note that for you to be able to vote on a round, the round in question needs to have at least 6 entries you can vote on, that means at least 6 entries that aren't your own (since you can't vote for your own entries).
So if you can't vote yet, make sure to urge other users to submit some stylings~

The rankings of every round are also permanently available.
Rankings are calculated using the Wilson score interval based on how many votes an entry has received compared to how many times it was seen during voting (which is called "upvote ratio").
For example, an entry that has been seen 20 times and received 18 votes will have an 90% upvote ratio, while an entry that received one vote out of only having been seen once would have a 100% upvote ratio.
Since basing the ranking off votes alone would heavily put newer entries as a disadvantage, but basing it off upvote ratio alone would skew it towards newer entries too much, the rankings are calculated using both.

New Permanent Competition rounds will be added regularly, so keep can eye out!

If you're interested in discussing the themes and the entries, feel free to join the Kach Again Discord server, where we have a dedicated channel for Aeternovae's Styling Competition: #aeternovae-comp.
